Magento Upgrade

It’s time to Upgrade your Magento store!

End of support for Magento 1 is fast approaching, with Magento announcing end of support for the platform in Summer of 2020.

That seems like it’s way off in the future but in a little more than 1 year, Magento 1 will be End Of Life.

What this means for you is that there will be no more patches released for Magento 1 and there will be no more version updates.

If you have been using Magento for your online store, you know it’s packed with features and very economical to operate. The new Magento 2 is no different.

Magento 2 has been completely rebuilt from the ground up to improve performance and now comes full responsive right out of the box.
It also includes a whole suite of built in modules that improve store operation and efficiency.

Some of the costs associated with developing a new Magento 2 store include:

  • data migration (if from Magento 1)
  • data import( if from some other platform)
  • theme development
  • custom development if needed
  • installing and configuring extension
  • integrating with any other third party software needed

Most of the Magento 2 stores I migrate will launch with a cost of somewhere between $6,500 and $10,000, depending on the complexity of the project.
This makes Magento 2 a very attractive ecommerce platform for most online stores, which helps to explain it’s popularity.

Fortunately, this is a one time expense, rather than a recurring expense, so Magento 2 stores are actually a very good investment in the long run.
