Planning Document
A planning document is always the best place to start.
For an example of a stripped down, sans content, basic design
document, click here.
A good planning document does not have to be elaborate
or complicated. Ideally, it should be a bare bones outline
of what the site needs to be. It should outline the site's
objectives, the target audience, basic requirements of the
site, top keywords, product pages and informational pages.
This document will then be used as a blueprint when you
start to design the site. For more info on planning your
